Through distinct and purposeful actions, these are the natural outcomes “any” organization will achieve over a 3 to 9 months when TPS/Lean is deployed correctly. The sustainment of these outcomes is built into the deployment meaning these are earnings, savings and revenue enablers for months to come. However, we must not forget that the true spirit of TPS/Lean is to improve what was previously improved!
Our 4-Phased FOCUSED or FULL Transformation Model
Phase 1 is designed to “prepare” the business for the transformation and usually takes 30-60 days.
Phase 2 is more tangible and begins the transformation on a “model area” and usually takes 120 to 180 days.
Phase 3 builds upon phase 2 and expands the learning from the model area to “value streams, departments and organizational wide” and usually takes 120-180 days.
Phase 4 focuses its efforts into the more “transactional” elements of the business from Quality Assurance, Finance, Planning, Scheduling, HR, IT and New Services Introduction and usually takes 90-120 days.
Depending on the complexity of the business and the scale of impact, this phase ends only when the organization has “plateaued” and needs to generate a view and commitment to the “next level” of excellence.
